So, WordPress 2.0 is out.
Like many other people, however, I won't be upgrading. Check asymptomatic.net for a number of pros and cons on the issue ...
However, I will be updating my local installs of Apache, MySQL and PHP, to closer fit what's on my site's box, along with testing out a couple of CMS's. I suppose it's about time to move that route ...

While I thought I'd have time for my own site, after off-loading FramingBusiness.net to Gavin, I've been keeping quite busy elsewhere - online and off. Ah well.

I'm looking for ideas on what I can write in PHP and MySQL. Thus far, I've written:
1) A comments system, that still gets hit by spam (but don't they all?).
2) An admin interface to upload documents, then create a record in a database for display elsewhere (along with categories and related articles/documents).
I just don't know - what do I *need* for functionality? Maybe I'll look further into creating a RSS reader - I just don't know ...
